You can try any of the following methods: Method 1. Open CamScanner, take a single shot, crop it, then tap OCR; once recognition is done, tap To Word (this method doesn't preserve formatting). Method 2. Open CamScanner, use the Extract Text feature, and after recognition, tap To Word (this method doesn't preserve formatting). Method 3. Open a document, open one of its images, and tap Word > Export to Word. Method 4. Open a document, press and hold to select images, then tap Share > Share as Word in the bottom toolbar. Method 5. On the documents screen, select a document, then tap Share > To Word in the bottom toolbar. Method 6. Open the CamScanner camera, tap Scan to Word, and take or import a photo. Please note: 1. Exported Word files are in .docx format, which older versions of Word may not open. 2. Recognition accuracy depends on image clarity and the recognition language you choose. CamScanner recognizes 40+ languages, but we recommend selecting no more than 2 at a time, otherwise accuracy may drop (for example, when recognizing a Chinese document, select only Chinese and English and leave other languages unchecked). 3. If you have a large number of images to convert, we recommend selecting a small batch at a time. 4. If you've used up your quota, you can top up with points to redeem more uses, or wait until your Premium renews next cycle to continue. If you run into any issues during recognition, tap Help > Submit Feedback, attach a screenshot of the problem screen and the original image, and leave a valid email so we can help investigate.

On the Documents screen, tap PDF Tools at the top and select To Word. Or, on the documents screen, tap the three-dot icon in the top right, tap Import Document, and import and save a PDF file. After saving, tap Share and select Share as Word. Note: we recommend importing PDF files under 30-100 MB. After you've used up your Premium quota, if you'd like to keep going, you can redeem with points (500 points per use) or wait until your Premium renews next month.

1. If you only need to remove the watermark created by CamScanner, go to the App Store and purchase the paid version of CamScanner. 2. If you also need other paid features (such as collage or OCR), tap Premium in the app to upgrade. After installing the paid version or upgrading to Premium, re-export the PDF or image to remove the watermark. If you exported it before, tap More Settings > Clear Storage to clear the cache and export again, or rename the document and export again. 3. To remove a watermark that's part of the document itself (not a CamScanner watermark), after taking or importing the image/document, tap Remove Watermark on the editing screen, or try Tools > Erase Marks.

If you'd like to recognize and export the text in an image, try the following: 1. Open a document, tap an image, then tap Word to run OCR. To edit the recognized results, tap directly on the recognized text to make changes. 2. Tap Share > Share as Text; after recognition, you can re-edit, translate, copy, or export the results (this method doesn't preserve the original formatting). Basic accounts can run recognition up to 10 times; after upgrading to Premium, you get 1,000 OCR text recognitions per month. The size and font of the recognized text can't be adjusted or changed.

To remove the CamScanner watermark and QR code added below the content when exporting a PDF/image, you can upgrade to Premium. After upgrading, re-export the PDF or image. If you exported it before, tap Me > More Settings > Clear Storage to clear the cache, or rename the document and export again. Note: when you share to a third party (such as WhatsApp), the From CamScanner label shown on the sharing screen is a source tag added by the third party, not a watermark added by CamScanner, so CamScanner can't remove it.

You can change the filter in the following ways: Before shooting: on the capture screen, tap the star icon at the top to set a default filter. While shooting: enter the preview screen after shooting and choose a filter. After shooting: Single image: open the image and tap Edit > Filter to change the filter. Multiple images: open the document and tap Edit > Filter; after changing the filter, you can apply it to all pages or selected pages. To import from your photo album, after importing, tap the icon at the bottom left of the import screen and choose the filter you want. Note: if an image is originally in black and white, CamScanner can't turn it into a color image.

Yes. After shooting, tap the thumbnail at the bottom to adjust the crop area again. For documents you've already captured, open the document, go to the image, and tap Edit > Rotate & Crop to adjust the crop area again, or select images and tap More > Batch Process Images to adjust them in bulk.

1. Sign on a sheet of white paper, or save an image of your signature (JPG or PNG) to your phone's photo album. 2. Open the document you want to sign > open the image you want to sign > tap Edit at the bottom > tap Sign to enter the signature screen, then choose to scan a handwritten signature or import one from your album. Note: this is a Premium feature, and you can add up to 10 signature templates. Once you have 10 templates, to add a new one you'll need to delete an existing template by pressing and holding it. After deleting, tap the add icon on the left to add a new one.

Open CamScanner > go to the capture screen > tap the album icon > select an image to import > open the imported image > tap OCR. Or, open CamScanner > go to the capture screen > tap Extract Text, tap the album icon, and select images to import and recognize.

Here are some factors that can affect OCR results: 1. Photo clarity: when photographing a document, try to fill the entire camera viewfinder. If the text doesn't look sharp, tap the screen to focus the camera. 2. Lighting: photos taken in bright light have less noise and recognize better. 3. Contrast: for the best results, make sure the text stands out clearly against its background. 4. Recognition language: make sure the languages you need are selected under CamScanner Me > More Settings > Extract Text. Avoid selecting every language, as this lowers accuracy. OCR results also depend heavily on image quality: text in small, low-resolution images is harder to recognize; for photos of computer or TV screens, accuracy is affected by screen noise; to recognize handwriting, choose text written neatly in clear print. If the results still aren't satisfactory, please email us the photo without cropping or enhancement ([email protected]) so we can analyze it better. We'll pass it to the scientists on our algorithm team for further analysis. Rest assured, all information in the images is kept strictly confidential and used only for internal algorithm data analysis.

If you're using the free version, after tapping the Word button you can find this document by searching for any word in it. You can currently convert the text in an image to text or Word in the following ways: 1. Upgrade to Premium to get 1,000 text recognitions and 20 Word conversions per month. 2. Tap Share > Share as Text; after recognition, you can copy or export the results. 3. Open a document, tap Word; after recognition, tap Export to Word to export in Word format.

In the app: open the app, go to the capture screen, and tap Scan to Excel. In the Mini Program: open the Mini Program and tap Image to Excel on the home screen. Notes: a. The entire outer border of the table must be captured in the photo, otherwise it may not be recognized correctly. b. Table lines should ideally be black; other colors may not be recognized. c. Photographing a table on a computer screen directly with your phone may fail because of screen noise. d. Currently only non-handwritten tables in Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English, Japanese, and Korean are supported; other languages can't be recognized. The Mini Program allows 100 uses per day; once used up, wait until the next day. Premium includes 500 uses per month; once used up, wait until your Premium renews next month.

Tap PDF Tools > PDF to Table and select the table file to recognize and convert. Notes: 1. The entire outer border of the table must be fully visible, otherwise it may not be recognized correctly. 2. Table lines should ideally be black; other colors may not be recognized. 3. Currently only tables in Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English, Japanese, and Korean are supported; other languages can't be recognized. 4. Vertical text in a table may not be recognized. 5. If a PDF contains multiple separate tables, we recommend converting the PDF to Word instead. PDF to Table allows 100,000 uses per month. Once used up, you'll need to wait until your Premium renews next month.

You can try the following: On mobile: open the app, tap Home, and in the Tools choose PDF to Images or PDF to Long Image, then import a PDF file to process. On computer: sign in at www.camscanner.com on the web, or open your desktop app, tap Tools, tap PDF to JPG, and import a PDF file to process.

To capture the front and back of an ID card and a bank card on a single A4 page, try the following: 1. Open CamScanner, go to the capture screen, and in Batch mode under the standard mode, take consecutive shots of the front and back of the ID card and bank card. 2. After shooting, tap the preview in the bottom right, adjust the crop area, and save. 3. After saving, open the document, tap the three-dot icon in the top right, tap Collage, and choose a template to stitch them together. To export as a PDF after collaging, open the collaged document, tap the three-dot icon in the top right, tap PDF Settings, and set the size to A 4. Note: this is a Premium feature and requires upgrading to Premium.

If you'd like to recognize the text in an image (excluding special symbols such as math symbols) and export it to a txt file or Word, try the following: 1. Go to the capture screen, tap Extract Text, take or import an image to recognize, then tap Export on the results screen to export as Word or txt. 2. Open a document, tap the three-dot icon in the top right, and tap Extract Text. Basic accounts get a few free uses; once used up, you can upgrade to Premium to keep going. After upgrading to Premium, you get 1,000 text recognitions per month.

If you have a very large number of image pages to convert, we recommend selecting images in smaller batches and tapping Share to convert, or splitting the PDF you want to convert into several files before importing them. Non-standard files such as flowcharts, mind maps, or tables of contents can't be converted to Word for now.

To add an anti-theft watermark, try the following: 1. Open a document, tap Edit PDF, then tap Anti-Theft. 2. Open a document, tap More > Edit PDF > Anti-Theft. After adding the anti-theft watermark, tap Size, Opacity, color, and so on at the bottom to change the anti-theft content, color, size, and opacity. Note: after adding a watermark to an image and saving, the shared image will carry the anti-theft watermark, but the original image is unaffected. Note: this is a Premium feature and requires upgrading to Premium.

Open a document and tap Edit > Pages > Reorder Pages. Then press and hold the image you want to move and drag it to where you want it.

You can do it in the following ways: 1. Open the app, go to the capture screen, tap OCR to take or import an image and recognize it; after recognition, tap Translate on the results screen and choose the target language. 2. Open a document, go to an image, tap the More icon, and tap Extract Text; after recognition, tap Translate on the results screen and choose the target language.

On the mobile app, go to the capture screen, take a photo, finish cropping, then choose Remove Shadow on the filter selection screen. For images you've already saved, tap Edit on the image viewing screen and choose Remove Shadow on the filter selection screen. If you're not happy with the result, edit the image again, choose the Enhance and Sharpen filter, then tap that filter again and increase the contrast by 13 from its current value.

If you're shooting in single or continuous mode, watch the direction of the icon in the bottom right as you shoot; if it changes, the text orientation may change too. In that case, tap the three-dot icon in the top right of the capture screen and choose Image Orientation (Auto/Landscape/Portrait) to set the direction. For documents you've already saved: Single image: open the document, go to the image, tap the Edit icon, and rotate the image again. Multiple images: open the document and tap Edit > Batch Rotate to readjust the image orientation.

Open a document and tap Edit > Rotate & Crop, then tap Batch Rotate in the top right to rotate images in bulk. Or, tap Edit > Filter, choose a filter, then select Apply to All Pages or Apply to Selected Pages.

Only images that contain table lines can be converted for now. If the image you want to convert has no table and isn't a table-type image, it may affect the final result. To convert it anyway, we recommend using To Word mode instead.

Go to the capture screen and tap Book. Open the book, turn your device sideways so it's parallel to the book, place the two pages in zones A and B, and line up the binding with the green dashed line. To adjust zones A and B, tap the A/B icon at the top to select. After shooting, to adjust the borders, tap the preview icon in the bottom right, tap Edit, and readjust the anchor points. Basic accounts can capture at least 10 images per day; to capture more, you can upgrade to Premium.

You can open the app and tap Erase Marks in the Tools. Or open a saved document and tap Edit > AI Erase.

CamScanner doesn't support compressing a document to a specific size, but you can reduce its size in the following ways: 1. Adjust the crop area: the smaller the crop area you select on the editing screen, the smaller the image. 2. Change the image filter: modes like black and white or Ink Saver also reduce image size. To share as images, after choosing Share as Image, files over 5 MB can be shared at Actual Size or compressed proportionally. To share as a PDF, tap Edit PDF at the bottom of the document screen, then tap Reduce Size on the preview screen. If the document is very large, we recommend sharing as a link.

Photos come out black and white because the photo you scanned was recognized as an office document, so CamScanner automatically processed and saved it in black and white. If you want color scan results, set it up as follows: open the app, go to the capture screen, tap the star icon at the top, and choose a filter other than black and white. For images you've already saved, open the image and tap Edit > Filter, then choose a filter other than black and white and save; or select multiple images in a document, tap More > Batch Process Images, and choose a filter again to save.

To crop in bulk, try the following: 1. Before shooting, tap Me > Document Scan > Multi-Shot Settings and choose Always Crop or Smart Crop. 2. After saving, open the document, press and hold to select images, and tap More > Batch Process Images.

Open a document, go to the image, and tap Edit > Insert Text. CamScanner supports adding multiple text boxes to a single image: after saving one, tap Insert Text again, tap a blank area of the image, and type. If you tapped Save in the top right after adding text and want to remove it, tap Edit > Rotate & Crop, reselect the crop area, and save. When inserting text, tap the color at the bottom to choose the text color, and drag the border with two fingers to change the text size. Changing the font or weight isn't supported for now.

In the CamScanner app, open a document and tap Edit > Add Watermark.

You can improve your shots with the following tips: 1. Open CamScanner, go to the capture screen, and tap the HD icon at the top to set the resolution. 2. Shoot in good lighting and avoid shadows or glare. 3. Avoid shaking the device; hold it steady, tap the screen to focus, and take the shot once the preview looks sharp. 4. Adjust the distance between your phone and the subject as needed. Note: if the image itself isn't sharp, CamScanner can't make a blurry image clear.

Open a document, tap the More icon, and tap Edit PDF. You can set the PDF orientation and page size, choosing the orientation and size you need for the PDF pages (such as A5 or A3). To add page numbers to the PDF, tap PDF Page Numbers on this screen (this is a Premium feature and is only available on mobile). Note: added sizes can't be deleted.

Open a document, go to the image, and tap Edit > Brush, then choose a color and paint over the information you want to hide. Once you paint over it, the result is saved directly to the original document; if you still need the original file or want to clear the marks, you'll need to reshoot or reimport and save.

Open a document and tap Edit > Sign > Signature Stamp, then tap a signature template to add it. After adding a signature template to an image, tap the ... icon in the top right of the template and select Apply to All Pages.

To create a copy-style image of an ID, tap Scan ID on the capture screen and choose the template you need. To see more templates, swipe left on the templates on this screen and tap More ID Types. If the template you need isn't there, it's not supported for now. Thanks for understanding. After shooting in ID mode, a fully formatted ID image is generated. To view the original, open the document after saving, press and hold the ID image, and tap Extract ID to see the original. *The Mini Program doesn't support this; you can download and install the CamScanner app from your phone's app store and sign in with the account you use in the Mini Program. Note: this is a Premium feature and requires upgrading to Premium.

Yes. Open the app, tap Test Eraser > Erase Handwriting from Tests on the home screen, and take or import an image. Notes: 1. We recommend capturing one layout at a time (photograph a test in two shots, left and right pages). 2. An internet connection is required; it won't work offline. 3. If you exit the app during processing, the data can't be saved. You can capture up to 12 images at a time. If you're not happy with the result, tap Suggestions and Feedback in Settings and attach the original test image.

This feature requires an internet connection. Basic users get 10 uses per day, and Premium gives 1,000 per month. Go to the capture screen, tap Photo HD Restore, and choose to take or import an image; after that, tap Next and choose the mode you want to restore it with. For better results, we recommend choosing images where faces take up a large portion of the frame.

There are three methods for now: 1. Capture a PPT as images: on the capture screen, tap the leftmost mode PPT to shoot; after saving, you can share as images or PDF, or run OCR on the text in the images and export it. 2. PDF to PPT: tap PDF Tools > PDF to PPT on the home screen, import a PDF (under 100 MB) to convert, share it afterward, and view the result under Document Conversion Results. 3. Batch images to PPT: take or import images and save them to CamScanner, then tap Tools > To PPT, tap a document to convert, and export it.

Open a document, go to the image, and tap Edit > Page Management > Retake This Page.

If the PDF you want to convert is very large with many pages, we recommend splitting it into several files before converting again. Or check whether there's a red marker in the top left of the imported PDF's thumbnail. If there is, open the document and tap More > Convert to Images to create an image document. Then open that image document and convert again. If there are many images, we recommend selecting images in batches and tapping Share > Share as Word.

Yes. Go to the capture screen, tap the three-dot icon in the top right, and turn Auto Crop on or off. If you don't see this option, check whether CamScanner is updated to version 645 or later. If it's older, update CamScanner in the App Store.

Go to the capture screen, tap the three-dot icon in the top right, and turn off Auto Capture. To turn auto-capture back on, tap Auto Capture again on this screen.

Sign in at www.camscanner.com on a computer, or open the desktop app, click Tools, and choose the mode you need: Extract PDF Pages: import a PDF and select one or more pages to export separately as a new PDF. Delete PDF Pages: import a PDF and select the pages you don't need to delete, then export the PDF. Rotate PDF Pages: import a PDF and click the rotate icon in the top right of a page to rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise. Reorder PDF Pages: import a PDF, press and hold a page, and drag it to where you want it.

First open your phone's/iPad's system settings, tap Privacy > Camera, and check whether CamScanner has access. If not, enable it, restart CamScanner, and try shooting again.

Fast local recognition: uses the OCR engine built into the CamScanner app. Pros: fast and no internet required. Cons: the built-in OCR engine is limited by app size and has a limited dictionary, so accuracy may be inconsistent. Precise cloud recognition: uploads the image to a cloud server for recognition. Pros: handles complex images, higher accuracy, and can support layout later. Cons: requires an internet connection, and recognition speed varies with network speed and image quality.

On the capture screen, take a photo and enter the editing screen, first choose the filter you want (Enhance mode), then tap that filter again to see its parameters and adjust them. Or open a document, go to the image, tap Process Image in the top right to enter the filter editing screen, then tap the selected filter again to adjust.

Cloud OCR supports the following 40 languages: Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Greek, Turkish, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, Hungarian, Afrikaans, Arabic, Bengali, Catalan, Czech, Filipino, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Nepali, Persian, Sanskrit, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Tamil, Thai, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek, Vietnamese, and Polish.

Cloud OCR uploads your captured images to a cloud server for remote recognition, giving higher accuracy. Images are encrypted throughout upload, and recognition is done entirely by machine with no human involvement. Please note: recognition quality depends on image clarity, and excessively distorted text may not be recognized. To recognize handwriting, choose text written neatly and clearly in print.

1. PDF Conversion: convert a PDF to Word, a table, or PPT; convert each page of a PDF to an image; or convert an entire PDF to a long image. 2. Document Processing: add signatures, watermarks, or encryption to a PDF; reduce a PDF's size; select multiple documents in the app or local PDF files to merge into one document and export as a PDF; extract certain pages from a document in the app or from a local PDF to create a new document and export as a PDF; adjust the image order in a document in the app and re-export the PDF, or adjust the order of images in a local PDF and export a new PDF. *Some features are Premium features; to use them all, we recommend upgrading to Premium.

On the capture screen, tap Scan to Word mode. After shooting and saving, tap Export to Word to convert. Please note: 1. Exported Word files are in .docx format, which older versions of Word may not open. 2. The conversion result can't restore the original font or font size. 3. Recognition accuracy depends on image clarity and the recognition language you choose. CamScanner recognizes 40+ languages, but we recommend selecting no more than 2 at a time, otherwise accuracy may drop (for example, when recognizing a Chinese document, select only Chinese and English and leave other languages unchecked). Here are the steps: 1. Open the CamScanner camera. 2. Choose Scan to Excel mode. 3. Place the paper table on a desk and photograph it in this mode, or import a table image. 4. Confirm the recognition area and submit. 5. Once recognition is done, you can export the Excel file directly. 6. You can view or edit the shared and downloaded Excel file with dedicated Excel software. Notes: a. The entire outer border of the table must be captured in the photo, otherwise it may not be recognized correctly. b. Table lines should ideally be black; other colors may not be recognized. c. Photographing a table on a computer screen directly with your phone may fail because of screen noise. d. Currently only non-handwritten tables in Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English, Japanese, and Korean are supported; other languages can't be recognized. e. If the table format is complex, the converted file may not exactly match the original. Note: this is a Premium feature and requires upgrading to Premium.

Open a saved document, tap Sign to open the Sign screen, then tap Signature Stamp > Stamp to add a stamp template. After adding a stamp to an image, tap the icon in the bottom right of the template's green box to adjust the stamp size. Tap the three-dot icon in the top right of the filter to adjust the stamp's color and line thickness. For an imported and saved electronic PDF, open the document and tap More > Sign. For an imported regular document, open it and tap Edit > Sign.

1. Regular watermark (added via Annotate - Add Watermark): open the document, go to the image, and tap Annotate > Delete Watermark again to remove it. 2. Document anti-theft: an anti-theft watermark added via document anti-theft creates a new copy of the original document. If you don't need it, delete the copy, and the original is unaffected. 3. For a document that was already exported with a watermark and then reimported, the previously added watermark can't be removed.

On mobile: on the documents screen, tap the Document Conversion Results folder to view Word, Excel, and other files you've converted before. If you delete this folder, the conversion results inside it are deleted too. On computer: after signing in to the computer version, tap Tools > Results to view all your previous conversions. If you choose to clear them, the previously converted documents can't be recovered.

Open a document and tap Edit > Rotate & Crop to reselect the crop area.

If the paper isn't flat, choose Single Shot mode on the capture screen; after shooting and entering the editing screen, the system automatically detects and processes it. If you have any issues during correction, we recommend tapping About and Feedback > Submit Feedback and attaching the original image and the corrected image.
